JOWAI: Villagers of Pasyih, Kyndongtuber, Nongbah, Umlarpang and Sabahmuswang have strongly opposed the proposed setting up of a BSF camp at Samatan Iongsong village in Jaintia Hills district.

The BSF along with the Extra Additional Commissioner in charge Revenue were scheduled to visit the site for mapping but they cancelled the same for unknown reasons. Hundreds of villagers from all five villages collected to obstruct the EAC and the BSF official from mapping the site.
