BSF donates essential items to border people

 SHILLONG: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Wednesday donated essential items like power tiller, Syntax tanks, Godrej Almirah, Wheelchairs and others to the people of Dawki on the Indo-Bangla Border in Jaintia Hills under its Civic Action Programme.

The function was presided over by Inspector General (IG), Meghalaya Frontier, Sudesh Kumar who gave away the items to the people in the region. Speaking on the occasion, the IG said that the effort of the BSF is to help the border villagers in their field works and enhance their economy and also urged the villagers to come forward with their problem so that he can take up their issues with the government here. He also expressed his concern on the rising cases of circulation of fake notes in the region.
