Imphal: Infuriated villagers of Jessami village of Ukhrul district in the Manipur-Nagaland border dismantled and destroyed police property after the police refused to provide them escort to go to the site where six villagers of Jessami, Manipur were abducted and assaulted by villagers of Meluri, Nagaland on Wednesday. On learning about the dismantling of the police property, SP, Ukhrul K. Kabib rushed to the border village and controlled the situation.(NNN)
