To a question whether the party was planning to withdraw support from the Government, he said the UDP would never betray its collation partners. “The party would remain committed to the agreement on the basis of which the MPA government was formed.”

“We do not think a situation warrants for withdrawing of support,” the UDP president said.

Meanwhile, he informed that the party would soon prepare a vision document for the State.

“We have assigned the party leaders in the district level to come up with some pertinent issues on the socio-economic front. After the receiving the views from the various districts, the party would finally formulate the vision document,” Dr Roy said adding that the party would carry forward the developmental work in the State based on this document for the next five years.

Concern over migrant voters: He said that the party would urge the Government to see that there is a proper screening before enrollment of migrants into the electoral rolls.”We have informed there is no screening while enrolling of the migrant people.
