An athlete from St Mary’s Higher Secondary School wins the 100 meters heat on the inaugural day of the East Khasi Hills Annual Inter-School Athletics Meet 2012 being held at the St. Paul Higher Secondary School
Ground, Marbisu in Mawngap on Tuesday. The meet was formally inaugurated by Sports and Youth Affairs
Director FM Dopth during an impressive opening ceremony. Altogether 18 schools mostly from rural
areas are participating in the three-day event being organised as part of the Year of the Youth celebration.
The event is being organised by the District Sports Officer, East Khasi Hills. (ST)
