Shillong: Agitating NGOs of the State have on Wednesday indicated that they would attend the meeting called by Home Minister HDR Lyngdoh to discuss the issue of enrollment of people with doubtful antecedents in the electoral rolls.

“We have decided to respond to the invitation of the Government and attend the meeting with the Home Minister at the Main Secretariat at 12 noon on Thursday,” FKJGP office secretary Eric Kharjana said.

On whether they would call off the night road blockade, he said that they would take a final call on the matter depending on the outcome of Thursday’s meeting. Kharjana however said that they would go ahead with the office picketing scheduled on Thursday.
