SHILLONG: The United Children’s Society is launching a campaign on Saturday at 2pm at Ward’s Lake, Shillong. The campaign aims to support the underprivileged and hapless children who are neglected in society. The campaign is about awareness and charity work.

The ambassador for the Society, Rapborlang Rani said, “It is kind of an awareness and we wish to visit every school”. It is a very brief beginning and the Society needs support from the public for this righteous cause.

It desires to reach out to the children and thereby, break the divisions among the children belonging to different communities.

The campaign will involve children hailing from different backgrounds.

To raise funds for the Society, the ambassador’s shoes will be sold for Rs.1500. An urge for support and donations is being made by them.
