SHILLONG: The police on Sunday arrested four people for stealing the vegetables from the MTC bus (MLO3 – 0144) which fell into a gorge at Mawlyndep near Sohryngkham on Saturday. The bus met with the tragic accident while it was on its way from Shillong to Silchar.
Police informed that the accused were arrested by the police while they trying to steal the vegetables in Iewduh on Sunday morning.
The arrested person include Banphrang Kharmalki, Chesling Kharpran, Dapjingshai Nongbri and Mebansharai who hails from Sohrynkham.
Police also informed that they have also seized the Auto Rickshaw which they used for transportation of the vegetables.
