Voice Hunt auditions on May 17

 SHILLONG: The Voice Hunt conducted by the North East Highway Star has arrived the city for its next set of auditions. Started in Nagaland, the show is now intending to spread its wings in different North Eastern States.

The auditions for the Voice Hunt will be held on May 17th 2012 at Shillong Club from 11am onwards. The contestants must be above 16 years of age to participate in the show.

The Judges will be from both Shillong and Nagaland. The Producer of the show, Tsali Sangtam said, “This year we are expecting more response. Last year the show had 30 contestants from Shillong but this year we are anticipating to have minimum of 50 contestants”.

From among the many contestants, the best 20 will be chosen.

The selection system will follow a 50-50 basis in which 50% will be selected by the Judge while the other 50% will be chosen through public voting. There will also be a promotional performance in the major cities of the North East.

The former prize money for the Winner was fixed at Rs.3 lakh but this time the amount is certainly to be better.

However, some uncertainty regarding the Prize Money still prevails.

The team desires to upgrade the Show by using the modern technologists and the professional team.

Changes to improvise the Show are expected.

The organizers have approached the telecom department to grant them public voting through Text Messages but they have not received a green signal as yet.

The group is gearing up for their upcoming show and is urging participation.
