Guwahati: The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of World Bank group, will assist Meghalaya in implementing a universal health insurance plan that is likely to benefit more than 30 lakh people. “The state’s population of over three million, including those from low and middle income groups, will benefit from the scheme,” IFC vice-president for Asia Pacific Karin Finkelston said after signing an MoU with Meghalaya government in Shillong on Thursday.
