SHILLONG: The cyclonic circulation in Southern India over Tamil Nadu and its neighborhood and the trough wind discontinuity extending up to 2.1km above sea level is now running in the eastern coast extending up to Meghalaya and rest of the region.
Confirming this, a weatherman from the Guwahati based Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) said that this is an indication of thunder squalls and heavy rainfall in the state and region. He also said that this weather phenomenon will persist over the region and in its neighborhood.
Besides this, the RMC weatherman said that a new western disturbance as an upper cyclonic circulation mid troposphere level is lying over the northern belt and a couple of them are expected to move northeastwards.
He also indicated that this might result in wild weather behavior in the state and region.
