Fraudulent issue of mobile connection

 SHILLONG: In a case of fraudulent issue of mobile phone connection, one Kishor Singh has lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar Police Sadar that in the month of January 2012 he applied for two Vodafone mobile phone connections from Rahul Goenka, a dealer of Vodafone near Anjalee Cinema Hall and has also submitted required documents to obtain the same.

Subsequently, it was found that one mobile phone connection (9856431955) was fraudulently issued in his name and the same was utilized by GNLA cadres to make demand calls at Borsora, West Khasi Hills.

Meanwhile, police said that investigation is on and the case will take time since there is a long process involved as the call details of the number already in use has to be obtained.
