SHILLONG: In another ostracizing case, one Mestondar Kharhari was ostracized by the Dorbar Pyllun of Mawkohphet village, Mawkyrwat based on the former’s involvement in several malfunctioning which is against the rule of the Dorbar.

In the recent Dorbar Pyllun, the Dorbar representatives unearthed various facts highlighting the kind of work, Kharhari has been doing for long without the knowledge of the Dorbar Shnong.

“And based on these facts, the Dorbar Pyllun decided to ostracize Kharhari”, Rangbah Shnong of Mawkohphet J Iawphniaw told reporters.

Further explaining the reasons behind ostracizing Kharhari, Iawphniaw said Kharhari forcefully shifted the Pyndengkynshliah LP&UP School from the village to Mawthawrang.

“There is no doubt that Kharhari is the brightest of all in the village as he is educated and it is because of this, he took advantage of the uneducated lot and managed to do things according to his whims and fancies without our notice” the village head said.

Iawphniaw also mentioned that there were times when Kharhari would change the names of the members of the Managing Committee (MC) of the said school without the notice of the Dorbar Shnong and when the government provides incentives to the school, he never produces a report of the utilization of money. He has also claimed ownership over a land at Lait Ale bad which is the village land and threatened to file an FIR against the Dorbar Shnong. “We have the letter in which Kharhari had threatened us and we will submit this letter along with a complaint to the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) on Monday”, Iawphniaw said.
