SHILLONG: Police have arrested three youths on suspicion of their involvement in the recent alleged suicide case of one Fabian Warlarpih (45) at Lum Mawnei, Mawlai Umthlong recently.
Last week, Warlarpih, a resident of Mawlai Umjaiur was reported to have committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree at Lum Mawnei but however, the matter has been viewed from another angle following the FIR filed by the deceased’s cousin soon after the body was found.
Police are yet to ascertain whether it is a murder or a suicide case stating that they are still awaiting the post mortem reports.
“Based on the FIR, the police has arrested these three youth day before yesterday and investigation is still in progress”, sources informed. Meanwhile, the KSU Mawlai Circle has reiterated that the death of Warlarpih is a clear case of murder. The Union has asked the concerned authorities to take serious actions against the culprits as per law.
