Court relief for stray dogs

 SHILLONG: I an unusual judgment, the Shillong Bench of the Gauhati High Court last Thursday passed an interim stay order on merciless catching of stray dogs by workers of the Shillong Municipal Board. The directive came from the court after a lawyer, Kaustav Pal, filed a writ petition in the court seeking a stay on the merciless catching of stray dogs in the city.
