SHILLONG: Mawkyrwat will get district status in June. Announcing this, Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma on Tuesday said with the inauguration of the new district people of the area would be getting a better governance. Dr Sangma was addressing a public meeting organized by the Mawkyrwat District Demand Committee at C&RD Block premises, Mawkyrwat.
