Lapang inaugurates computer lab at St. Paul’s Nongpoh

 NONGPOH: DD Lapang, Chief Adviser to the Government of Meghalaya and President of MPCC, inaugurated the Computer Lab cum Audio Visual Room at St Paul’s Secondary School Nongpoh here on Thursday.

Ri-Bhoi Deputy Commissioner Akash Deep Singh was also present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Lapang lauded the untiring efforts of the Catholic mission in spreading education in the District and the State as a whole by setting up of schools and colleges.

While reminding the public of the mission and vision of Fr Michael Balawan, the founder of St. Paul schools, Lapang said that Fr Balawan was a dreamer and his dream was accomplished through his hard work and dedication which has immensely benefited the children and the people of the district.

Lapang also said that knowledge of computers is fundamental in this age and it is important to introduce computer education at the primary level.
