Shillong: In a case of child abuse in the city, the principal of St George School, Nongmynsong was arrested by the police for allegedly molesting a IXth standard girl of the school here on Friday.
Sources informed that the principal identified as Simon Joseph attempted to molest the girl at around 10:30 am in the school campus here.
Reacting to this complaint, the family members of the girl filed an FIR against the principal.
Meanwhile, the accused has been arrested by the police who registered a case of intending to outrage modesty under section 354 of the IPC.
