SHILLONG: With 2013 Assembly election in the State only a few months away, Meghalaya Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Prashant Naik will meet the deputy commissioners of all seven districts to discuss various issues concerning the election preparedness in the State.
The CEO is likely to hold the meeting either on May 25 or the next day.
“I would be holding a meeting with the deputy commissioners to discuss issues concerning the election preparedness in the State,” Naik informed on Sunday.
When asked if they are going to discuss the enrolment drive in the electoral rolls which is going on in the State, he said that they would definitely be discussing this matter since the enrolment drive is one of the issues concerning the election preparedness in the State.
