SHILLONG: Even though insurgency-related incidents in Garo Hills have declined in the past few days, the State Government has made it clear that counter-insurgency operations against the GNLA would continue in days to come.
Talking to media persons here on Monday, Home Minister HDR Lyngdoh said that the Government would hunt down the GNLA leaders and there would not be any break in the anti-insurgency operations in Garo Hills.
Admitting that there is a decline in the violent activities in the past few days, Lyngdoh said, “We see a decline in the activities of the militant group but even then we are vigilant.”
The Home Minister also ruled out talks with GNLA and instead wanted the GNLA militants to surrender with all their weapons.
