SHILLONG: The breakaway faction of the ANVC has warned all associations, organisations and individuals engaged in benami (Illegal) trading in Garo Hills to give up their ways.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, the ANVC (B) said, “Those using the name of the locals to get maximum benefit should stop these practices before we take any action.”

According to ANVC (B), Garo Hills would never flourish if such activities are not checked. The outfit also sought the cooperation of local people in zeroing down on such practices which is affecting the growth of the region.
