Govt declares half-holiday today

SHILLONG: The State Government has declared a half-holiday on Friday as a mark of respect for former Chief Minister Dr FA Khonglam who passed away at a city hospital on on Tuesday. Office establishments, schools and colleges will remain closed after 1 pm on Friday. Dr Khonglam’s body will be laid to rest on Friday at 1 pm at the Malki Presbyterian Cemetery.
