NEHU among top Indian universities

SHILLONG: The North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) has been ranked No.16 out of Top 50 universities in India, according to a survey commissioned by India Today magazine. The May edition of the magazine has ranked NEHU as one of the top 5 gainers for 2012. In 2011 the India Today ranking system had placed NEHU in the 22nd position. Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University and University of Calcutta have been given the top three ranks respectively by India Today.
