Felicitation

Metbah Lyngdoh, MLA & Chairman, Meghalaya Industrial Development Corporation will felicitate the top five from amongst the students of Mairang Constituency who have successfully cleared the SSLC and HSSLC MBOSE Examination, 2012. The students of the constituency can submit the attested copy of their mark-sheets to the office of the MLA at Mairang Headquarters or the Main Secretariat Building, Yojana Bhawan before June 8.

Raid

The Excise staff of East Khasi Hills District seized 108.250 litres of i/d liquor and 206.980 litres IMFL in course of its continued drive against illicit liquor around the city and outskirts. During the month of April, 2012 43 cases were detected and 43 persons were arrested under Excise Act.

Medical Camp

The Meghalaya Youth Foundation in collaboration with Seng Kynthei Laitkor (Rngi) will organise a free medical camp at the Community hall, Laitkor on Saturday.

Musical evening

The Tura Natya Samity in collaboration with Bengalee Association Garo Hills, Tura will host a Musical Soiree at the Natya Samity Hall to commemorate the 151st Birth Anniversary of India’s first Nobel laureate Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore at 6 pm on May 27.
