SHILLONG: The Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday apprehended a hardcore HNLC cadre while he was infiltrating into Meghalaya. The cadre has been identified as Poli Tangsan (33) alias Suk, a resident of Nongthalang village, Jaintia Hills.
The cadre revealed that he had joined the HNLC in 2007 and had undergone arms training in Niharpunjee, Bangladesh. He also confessed to being involved in various extortion drives from coal exporters in Dawki and Borsora in West Khasi Hills.
He was later handed over to the police for necessary action.
