SCA lauds Gary Lamare’s feat

SHILLONG: The Shillong Cricket Association (SCA) has lauded the efforts of Gary Jarman Lamare who scaled Mount Everest as a photographer for Discovery Channel along with the Indian Army Adventure Team. “He has done the State proud by setting foot atop the world’s highest point and at the same time he has dived to the deepest sea as a professional diver,” the SCA said in a statement.

Lamare is a member of the SCA and represents the United XI CC. He has represented the Association in various inter-district tournaments. “He is a God-gifted and talented individual who excels in whatever he does,” said G Kharkongor, Secretary of SCA. Lamare’s efforts were also lauded by his club and colleagues who congratulated him on his stupendous feat.
