Union Minister of State for Home visits Nagaland

Kohima: Union Minister of State for Home Jitendra Singh arrived here this morning on a two-day visit to Nagaland. Sources said Mr Singh arrived at the Assam Rifles Helipad, where he was received by the Inspector General of Assam Rifles (North) Major General B Das. He was went to IGAR (N) office, where he was briefed on the prevailing situation of the state by Major General Das.

He also went to Kohima World War II Cemetery, where he laid a wreath in honour of the World War II martyrs. Singh left for Mon and Longuwa to visit the installation of Assam Rifles and he will come back to Kohima this afternoon.

He will also meet Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio at His residential office chamber this evening. After spending the night at Kohima, he will leave Kohima tomorrow morning on his way to Delhi, sources said. (UNI)
