London: A letter that Michael Jackson wrote to former wife Lisa Marie Presley describing his struggle with sleep is to go under the hammer.

The King of Pop writes in the letter that he had not slept for days and needed to get away from business people, the Daily Mail reported. “I truly need this rest. I haven’t slept literally in four days now. I need to be away from phones and business people. I must take care of my health first,” Jackson wrote. He also told his wife that he was “crazy” for her, and signed off the letter under his pet name Turd.

Jackson’s marriage to Presley lasted from 1994 to 1996. The letter is predicted to fetch up to USD 1,200 when it goes under the hammer at the Julien’s Auctions sale in Beverly Hills next month. Jackson, who battled insomnia, died in 2009 due to an overdose of prescription drug propofol.

Singer Whitney Houston’s old passports is also up for sale just three months after her death. The passport, which was valid from 1979 and expired in 1984, is expected to get a bid for upto USD 6,000.

Amy Winehouse’s robe that she wore in the video of her hit Rehab is also up for sale for USD 16,000. A brown Stetson hat that Elvis Presley wore in 1969 film Charro is expected to receive bids of up to USD 6,000. Items related to Lady Gaga also feature in the auction. A dress she wore for an appearance in Vogue and a Vera Thordardottir dress she wore while performing at Elton John’s White Tie and Tiara Ball in 2010 are up for auction. (PTI)
