MPHRC condemns attack on nun

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya People’s Human Rights Council (MPHRC) on Thursday expressed concern over the attempted abduction of Sister Rose Kayathinkara at Mendipathar, East Garo Hills recently.In a statement issued here,general secretary, MPHRC DD Dympep said that the Council condemned the barbaric act by unknown miscreants and urged the Government to take immediate steps to ensure security of the missionaries. The Council also asked the authorities to apprehend the culprits without delay.
