SHILLONG: The UDP Central Executive Committee (CEC) is scheduled to meet on June 12 to release the second list of candidates for the 2013 Assembly election in Meghalaya.
“We are going to release the second list of candidates on June 12,” a senior UDP member informed here on Friday.
The second list is expected to announce a fresh name to contest from Jirang constituency since sitting UDP legislator and former Chief Minister JD Rymbai, whose name featured in the first list, has since take a call to retire from active politics.
The first list containing names of 26 candidates was released on April 23.
