SHILLONG: All speculations over Wailadmi Passah’s future in Shillong Lajong FC were put to rest with the team management deciding to sign a fresh two-year contract with the main defender.

Terming Passah as the most consistent performer for the team in the I-League last season, SLFC general secretary Larsing M Sawian said, “There is no way that we are going to allow Passah to leave the team.” While lauding the star defender for his ability to maintain fitness, Sawian said that out of the all I-League matches in the last season, Passah missed only one match due to a double yellow card. Passah who had got offers from three top clubs viz. Salgaocar SC, East Bengal and reigning champions Dempo FC had expressed his desire to join Dempo.

Meanwhile, the team management has decided to allow Aibor Khongjee to sign a one-year contract with Mohan Bagan.
