SHILLONG: Gerrard & Vunaberth Football Club have won the Under -19 Football Tournament organized by the Nongkseh Sports Social & Cultural Club in association with Adidas.
In the final, Gerrard & Vunaberth FC beat Combine United 2 -1.
The top scorer award went to Marvin Nongbri who scored 10 goals in the tournament. The Best Goalkeeper award went to Fabian Thangkhiew. Both Nongbri and Thangkhiew played for Gerrard & Vunaberth FC. Bobby Malngiang of Combine United was named best player of the tournament.
Most Promising player award went to Evancarry Thangkhiew of Nongkseh Junior and the Best Discipline Team award was bagged by Kyntiewlang Nongkrem. Each were awarded with Adidas F-50 Boots and Adidas Goalpeer Golves. Mylliem legislator RV Lyngdoh attended the prize distribution ceremony as chief guest.
