Laskein CHC inaugurated

 Jowai: The 30-bedded Laskein Community Health Centre (CHC) was inaugurated by Deputy CM, and Minister of Health and Family Welfare Rowell Lyngdoh in the presence of Local MLA and Parliamentary Secretary C Ymbon, who also presided over the function at Laskien CHC Campus here on Friday.

In his inaugural address, Lyngdoh said that it was the government’s top priority to provide better health care facilities to the people of the state.

“Different ways and means are being sorted out to improve the health care services especially in the rural areas,” Lyngdoh added. The Deputy CM informed that the Government has implemented several schemes like the Rastriya Swastiya Bima Yojna (RSBY), which gives a health insurance cover of up to rupees 30,000, apart from the Jani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram (JSSK), for pregnant women and new borns. “The public should make use of the benefits provided even as the government tries its level best to provide required facilities,” Lyngdoh said while adding, “People need to co-operate for the smooth functioning of the health centres.”
