SHILLONG: The Riti Academy of Visual Arts in collaboration with Red FM 93.5 will celebrate the World Music Day at Trattoria, Khasi Cuisine Restaurant at Khyndailad on June 21.
The celebration will be open to public participation even as few renowned musicians will perform at certain consecutive interval to sustain the momentum throughout the day. The genre of music will encompass varieties of interest from folk to blues, rock, rap etc. Indian folk music like bhangra is expected to provide variety to the celebration.
Meanwhile, local artists will create drawings and illustrations to portray the features of the city apart from local culture and contemporary social developments in the State and region. The endeavour aims to provide amusement and meaningful entertainment with flavour of social harmony to the visitors.
