New Delhi: The annual meeting of the North Eastern Council (NEC) is slated to be held here on June 27. Governors, chief ministers and chief secretaries of all the North Eastern states including Sikkim are expected to participate at the meeting.
Issues including the power scenario, education, science and technology, railways, air connectivity, innovations for the region, transport and communication, agriculture, sports etc., will be touched upon during the meet which will commence with a brain storming session.
Meghalaya will be represented by Governor Ranjit Shekhar Mooshahary and one of the deputy chief ministers in the absence of Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma who will be out of the country then.
