Shillong: Mawlai MDC Embhah Syiemlieh was left red-faced on the first day of the summer session of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) here on Tuesday when he asked a question relating to finance instead of trade, which was supposed to be his question, in absence of a questionnaire.
“It is very embarrassing for me to stand here in the floor of the house and ask a wrong question”, Syiemlieh said.
He also questioned the executive committee for not presenting the proceedings at the earliest. “I was not given enough time to go through the questionnaire and prepare my questions.” Syiemlieh’s stand was also supported by other members of the house who pointed out that the incident was not only embarrassing for the Mawlai MDC but for the House.
