SHILLONG: The groups spearheading the movement on resolution of the long-pending inter-state boundary dispute between Meghalaya and Assam would be announcing their third phase of agitation on Friday.

“We would be announcing the third phase of our agitation at Student’s Field, Jaiaw on Friday,” Ardent M Basaiawmoit, who is spearheading the movement, informed on Thursday.

He also informed that around 300 people from villages along the inter-state border attended the second day of the sit-in-protest at Mawlasnai, Ri-Bhoi district.

Basaiawmoit also informed that sit-in protests were also held in various parts of Khasi and Jaintia Hills, besides Shillong.

The three day sit-in protest ends on Friday.
