Shillong: President of the Meghalaya unit of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) WR Kharlukhi on Friday hinted that all the 14 NCP MLAs in the State could resign from the party which has made clear that it would not support the candidature of PA Sangma in the presidential polls.

Stating that Sangma’s son and Leader of the Opposition in the State Assembly, Conrad Sangma has convened a crucial meeting of all party MLAs here on Saturday, Kharlukhi said, “Anything can happen.”

The presidential aspirant is expected to reach out to all MPs and MLAs from the North East for support. (PTI)
