Shillong: The United Democratic Party (UDP) Mawsynram Circle has requested all the representatives of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly to extend their support to Purno A Sangma, a tribal candidate fighting for the presidential post.
“We urge all the MLAs in the state to forget what party they belong to for the time being and unite to support Purno Sangma in his race”, UDP Mawsynram Circle president Ham Syiemlieh said adding that he is the only tribal fighting for this post.
