Syiemlieh takes oath as UPSC member

New Delhi: Prof. David R Syiemlieh, former Professor NEHU and ex- Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh on Monday took oath as UPSC member.

A person of eminence, Prof. Syiemlieh held many important positions in various policy making, academic and administrative bodies. He had been awarded Senior Fulbright Fellowship in the year 1999.

Prof. Syiemlieh was at Notre Dame University, USA. He has been Honorary Director of the Indian Council of Social Science Research – N-E Regional Centre, and is presently Council Member of the Indian Council of Historical Research, New Delhi.
