As I Lay Dying have just announced
that they will be releasing their next
album, titled ‘Awakened,’ on Sept. 25. The Grammy-nominated act premiered the first song off the record, ‘Cauterize’ earlier today on SiriusXM’s ‘Liquid Metal’ radio show, but don’t worry, you will still be able to get your metalcore fix. As I Lay Dying are still in the recording process for ‘Awakened,’ which is being constructed at the Blasting Room with legendary producer Bill Stevenson, who is also the drummer for hardcore punk pioneers the Descendents.
During the band’s run on this year’s Mayhem Festival, As I Lay Dying will be selling limited edition laminates, which serve as a way to pre-order a copy of ‘Awakened,’ from the band themselves at their merch booth. Each laminate will have a unique code which fans can enter at www.metalblade.com/awakened. The 2012 Mayhem Fest will be hitting North America from June 30-Aug. 5 and will feature bands such as Slipknot, Slayer, Motorhead, Anthrax and many more. (Agencies)
