SHILLONG: Two second half goals helped Langsning FC claim victory over Lawmali Pyllun SC in what was initially a balanced match.

Langsning, however, will be ruing the fact that they were unable to capitalise on the numerous chances that they created, especially in the second half. However, what would matter most in the Langsning camp is that they earned three valuable points.

Mayosing scored the first goal just six minutes after half time after receiving a pass in the clear.

Lawmali had their chances, too. Khrawkupar could have helped his side equalise in the 70th minute, but he missed an open chance after accepting a volleyed pass.

The match was pretty much put out of their reach when an 86th minute goal was scored courtesy Moirangthem.

The midfielder received a cross from the left flank and took a shot to score Langsning FC’s second and final goal.

The first half also saw Lawmali create some near-scoring opportunities, but none were converted and this proved very costly.
