NONGPOH: In a shocking incident, a mother of 7 children was raped by an elderly man identified as Himrose Syngkli (50), who is also the Rangbah Shnong of the Umklai village, 10 km from Nongpoh, on Thursday at a official quarter of the Ramky Infrastructure at Umklai.
Police source informed that the women is employed at a base camp of the construction company.
The victim’s family has lodged an FIR at Nongpoh Police Station, while the woman has been admitted at the Nongpoh Civil Hospital.
