TURA: Former district president of the Bharatya Janata Party (BJP), West Garo Hills, Alberth A Sangma and Retired General Manager of the District Commerce and Industries, Government of Meghalaya, Sydney Herberth N Sangma joined the Congress here on Friday last.
Alberth and Sydney Herberth Sangma enrolled in the Indian National Congress in the presence of Tura City Congress Committee, President, SD Shira, MPCC General Secretary, Garo Hills, KC Momin and other party functionaries.
Alberth Sangma had earlier resigned from the active and primary membership of BJP and his post as District President of the party on June 23.
