ICAR, MYF to distribute equipments to villagers

SHILLONG: The Meghalaya Youth Foundation (MYF) in collaboration with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Umiam will be distributing agricultural equipments to the farmers of Mawpyrshong village, East Khasi Hills district on Thursday from 10:30 am onwards.

Renowned personalities of the State, Scientists of ICAR and other personalities will be present at the programme.

Mawpyrshong village has been adopted by the Inner Wheel Club, Shillong and the Meghalaya Youth Foundation. ICAR in the past had also extended assistance to the farmers of the village by donating piglets, poultry, pig sheds, water tanks, agricultural seeds, manures, fertilisers, besides conduct numerous training and capacity building programmes for farmers in the field of agriculture and animal husbandry.
