SHILLONG: Friday’s game was a stroll in the park for Rangdajied United FC, as they eased past Lawmali Pyllun SC 7-2 at the JN Stadium, while also securing their ninth straight win in the ongoing SPL.

Rangdajied’s first goal came in the 15th minute with Nagen sprinting along the right flank and sending the ball past the keeper 15 yards outside the box.

Lawmali, however, managed to level the score in the 23rd minute after Teibor Siangshai released a beautiful free kick that sailed into the net.

However, in the 26th minute, an airborne pass was made to Rangdajied’s Argha, who in turn took a shot and scored for the lead. Although he missed a sitter six minutes earlier, Babatunde made up for that in the 35th minute by making a clean pass for Argha to find his second goal.

In the 37th minute, defender Ambilstar took the ball across to the front and chipped the ball over the goalie to give Rangdajied a massive 4-1 lead at halftime.

In the second half, Babatunde finally scored after sending in a powerful shot in the 58th minute.

The four-goal lead was soon narrowed down to three, however, after Rangdajied conceded a penalty, which Lansing stepped up for and scored.

In the 72nd minute, an Argha cross went straight to the goalie, who lost his grip on the ball, allowing Babatunde to score again. The assault came to an end in the 76th, when substitute David gave Rangdajied their seventh goal.
