Two dead in separate accidents

 SHILLONG: Two persons lost their lives in two separate road accidents that happened in the early hours of Saturday. The first accident took place when a Maruti local taxi (ML 05E 1202)driven by one Arming Nongiej rammed into a stationary truck (ML 09A 4454) in four and half mile. One of the occupants of the taxi Dhar Nogseij died inside the car while the driver and other occupant Hamarsing Wahlang sustained serious injuries and were later admitted to Shillong Civil Hospital.

In another accident, a truck (NL 01K 1231) coming from Guwahati to Shillong dashed against against a dumper truck (AS 01 DD 8479) at Rynndaang briew. The incident took place at 5 am. The driver of the truck John Sari of Mawkha village died inside the truck while the occupants of the dumper truck sustained serious injuries.
