Kristen Stewart may

have described her

liaison with Rupert Sanders as a ‘momentary indiscretion’, but the film director’s brother-in-law now claims their affair went on for months.

Kristen issued a public apology for her actions. ”This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”

But now Leopold Ross, the younger brother of Rupert’s wife Liberty, has weighed in to suggest the couple’s affair had been going on for months.

Kristen and Rupert grew close on the set of Snow White and the Huntsman, with the pair snapped enjoying a cosy dinner together in Berlin in May.

Leopold dismissed suggestions the fling was a one-off, telling The People: ‘It was from the last half of filming and all through post-production, clear into last week.’

He also revealed his sister’s anger at the affair, explaining that Liberty had left her native Britain in order to support her husband’s career and look after their new young children.

Leopold’s comments are unlikely to help Kristen’s chances of a reconciliation with R-Pattz, with the pair thought to be barely speaking since the cheating claims emerged. Whether or not they manage to patch up their differences the pair will be forced back together next month, as they are contractually obliged to appear together to promote the release of Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2.
