State-level seminar

A one-day state level seminar will be organized by the Department of Political Science, St. Edmund’s College as part of their Golden Jubilee celebrations on August 4. The theme for the seminar is ‘Electoral politics in the state of Meghalaya’. Eminent academicians and resource persons will present their paper.

 New office bearers

The Meghalaya Bridge association, Shillong has selected new office bearers for the term which included Deborah C Marak, the MPCC working president as the chief patron, IAS MS Rao as the Patron, MP Singhania as the president, N Das as the vice president, Prabash Paul as the secretary besides others.

 Committee meeting

The meeting of the District Co-ordination Committee , West Khasi Hills was held on Tuesday. The meeting discussed several issues like implementation of scheme and projects of different departments, improvement of NH 44 (E), construction of office building and other issues. The meeting also decided to declare holiday on August 3 to enable officers and staffs to attend the inauguration of the South West Khasi Hills district.

 Durbar Hall

The Durbar Hall at Raj Bhavan will be inaugurated by the governor of Meghalaya, RS Mooshahary at 3pm on Saturday.
