SHILLONG: The ANVC(B) constituted an Anti-Corruption Wing (ACW) recently to check corruption prevalent among various officers and political leaders.

According to the militant outfit, the anti-corruption wing will identify people who are actively involved in corruption. The wing will take steps to expose them and “if needed, remove them from their office.”

They are the main contributors to the backwardness of the Garo dominated areas within Meghalaya which are facing problems similar to Somalia in Africa due to the corruption in the system,” the outfit added.

The ANVC (B) has also asserted that it will open a forum where people can highlight issues and send complains and this would help the common man to raise their voice and make their woes public.
